Why are humans being trained to accept AI? From the perspective of a Dominatrix

It’s easy to get others to fulfil tasks when you force them into submission, but there’s no art in that. Any good Dominatrix/negotiator will tell you that genuine empathy and active consent is the only way to achieve healthy and mutual goals in the long run. Berating people is rich man’s approach, and not exactly the healthiest nor ethical one. Getting what you want only works well when everyone is benefiting from it safely.

For those who welcome AI with open arms – I’d like you to have a think about the questions I’m going to ask you:

What are you benefiting from by accepting AI into your life? Did you accept the idea of AI, or were you pressured? Coerced? Groomed? Moulded into acceptance? If humans are taught to submit from the start, what is the intention? To experiment, benefit (financially), or a decision made simply out of cowardice?

Kink scenes and master manipulators

As someone in the kink scene, I can tell you that those entering said scene with a lack of experience are at risk of easily succumbing to those with charming auras, slick ensembles and expensive toys. This is because confidence can create the illusion of expertise, and override our response to potential threats. If we’re not too careful, we could end up entertaining someone simply because they were confident enough to approach us, and not because we were willing or interested. Persistence is bothersome.

Manipulation comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s from shiny strangers, and sometimes it’s from those we trust. It’s important to remember that boundaries are not restricted to the bedroom. We are being tested every day.

Becoming deviant

If you’re reading this, it is unlikely that you are in the 1%, but you might be in the bracket that inspires to be there. It’s easy to fall in line when you are desperate, but that’s even more reason to protect yourself from being taken advantage of. It’s easy to choose black and white options and harder to seek the colour. It’s also harder to control those who are curious, too. It’s why people like me/us are seen as deviant. Those who dare to ask questions or seek more information before proceeding are seen as non-compliant/a potential threat, but surely if an idea is in our best interest, there would be no issue in what I am seeking.

Coercion vs. Healthy negotiation

Coercion is a formula. Something that has been tried and tested. Manipulators, abusers and bad negotiators will exhaust you and berate you out of your boundaries with the use of repetition. They’ll do this with you and everyone they encounter with the same phrases ready to go. Patterns with no active positive changes are major red flags.

When I see this method being used by brands, our governments, as well as regular people, I take a step back to try understand its motive, and the reasoning to why it was digested in the first place. Examples like the following:

“AI isn’t going anywhere.” “You better get on board with it.” “Your business will fail without it.” “You’ll get left behind.”

Could you imagine if the guy at the sex party used similar terms to entice us? It’s not very enticing is it? Pressure isnt sexy. It’s similar to the kind of feeling you would’ve experienced as a (bullied) teen, or perhaps from a judgemental parent(al figure). The fear of missing out or the feeling of not being prepared still comes with a sense of coercion and unease. Ask me why my handbag is so heavy. It’s full of (imaginary worst case) scenarios. Being over prepared can be heavy on the mind, as well the body, but did we even need to do it in the first place?

Healthy negotiation comes with terms, especially if someone/something is at harm from it. It’s sometimes regulated in spaces with several people, but it must always have some form of consent. Just because someone says “Yes”, does not mean it’s a healthy “Yes”. This is basic stuff on consent, which, in the rise of AI and mass surveillance, is something we are being forced to hand over. A dynamic or belief where the terms/understanding are formed based on lies, misinformation, or coercion, is an example of a non-consensual dynamic. Again – consent is not limited to the bedroom.

Lack of safeguarding and clear  intentions

We’re incredibly progressive when it comes to medicine, but when innovation is pushed on us without practise and/or little to no monitoring, it means our boundaries are being tested. Only then does one retreat a concept or announce lousy safeguarding options after significant outrage. It’s too late. The damage is done.

AI is a tool for humans

Humans had the decision to use AI technology to connect us to our missing limbs, and to each other. To aid in benefiting humanity. Making tasks simpler for those in difficult climates or those with physical limitations – something that’s inevitable for every human being. There is still a place for it, but not in the escalated direction it’s currently going in. Its progression unmonitored and prioritised over our safety is both alarming, and not the ethical approach. If we continue this way, humanity will (efficiently) cease to exist.

I might be a Goddess, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be forcing a God complex on a lover. Earning each other’s acceptance should be a mutual experience. Even for something artificial.
